NEPAFE- Has successfully organised two days workshops

Nepalese Association of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environment in Australia  NEPAFE, in collaboration with Nourish Nation Foundation, successfully organized two one-day workshops on Climate Change, Greener Solutions & Environmental Protection and Food, Nutrition, Wellbeing & Women’s Health on March 7th in Wagga Wagga and March 8th in Griffith.

With over 50 participants from diverse backgrounds (Afghanistan, Burma, Iran, Iraq, Nepal, Sikh, Indian communities, and more), these interactive sessions sparked meaningful discussions on key environmental and health issues.

🔹Climate Change & Food Security.

Supported by CANA (Climate Action Network Australia), the NEPAFE workshop featured posters presentation and an insightful session by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai on the impact of climate change on food security. Community members shared their perspectives, and valuable feedback was gathered.

🔹Women’s Health & Wellbeing.

As part of International Women’s Week 2025, the Nourish Nation Foundation’s session—supported by NSW Government & Nari Nikunja Australia—focused on menopause, mental wellbeing, and nutrition with expert presentations from:

✅Dr. Raju Adhikari – Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing during Menopause

✅Dr. Merina Lohanee Sitoula – “Elephant in the Room” – Understanding Menopause

✅Dr. Yakindra Timilsena – Nourishing the Body During Transition

The workshops received great engagement & positive feedback, helping raise awareness on climate change, food security, menopause, and mental health.
