Kathmandu, Nepal Oct , 17 2025—

Gen-Z campaigner Miraj Dhungana has announced that he is in the process of establishing a new political party in Nepal, continuing his “Garikhan Deu (Let Us Earn a Living)” campaign.

In a video message shared on social media on Friday, Dhungana said that the Gen-Z movement has opened new political possibilities in the country and that forming a party has become a natural next step.

However, he clarified that the new party will not immediately participate in elections. “We will not contest any election until three fundamental conditions are met a directly elected prime minister, voting rights for Nepalis living abroad, and the creation of a citizen-level body to curb corruption,” Dhungana stated in the video.

Dhungana said his group aims to bring peaceful yet transformative change to Nepal’s political landscape. To move forward, they have already formed a negotiation and coordination committee to draft the party’s structure and policies.

He also announced that a press conference on Kartik 1 will provide further details about the party’s objectives and future plans.
