Canberra’s natural beauty and community spirit are at the heart of a bold new vision unveiled this week by Leanne Castley MLA, who has committed to delivering a more affordable, inclusive, and opportunity-rich future for the nation’s capital.

“Every one of us in Canberra knows how fortunate we are to live in such an incredible part of the world,” she said. “Whether your view is of rivers and lakes, hills and mountains, or vibrant local neighbourhoods, Canberra is not just scenic – it’s a place we’re proud to call home.”

But she believes there is more to be done to ensure Canberra reaches its full potential.

In a message focused on empowerment and practical reform, Leanne Castley MLA laid out a series of priorities aimed at improving the day-to-day lives of Canberrans – from affordable housing and strong business support to better access to public services.

“You deserve a Canberra where life is affordable, where owning a home is a reality, and where public services are there when you need them,” she said. “You deserve a Canberra where small businesses can thrive, and where people are supported to pursue their ambitions.”

Central to the plan is a commitment to community-focused governance that listens and responds to the needs of residents.

“My team and I are working hard to develop and deliver practical policies for a better Canberra,” Leanne Castley MLA said. “That’s what you deserve – and that’s what I’m committed to delivering.”
