ACT: Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) has been recognised for excellence in vocational education, taking home four awards at the 2025 ACT Training Awards, including the title of ACT Large Training Provider of the Year.
CIT’s winners included:
- VET Teacher/Trainer of the Year: Laura Henry
- ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year: Jaharn Mundy-Drazevich
- ACT Apprentice of the Year: Stewart McLeod
In addition, several CIT students and educators were named as finalists across multiple categories:
- ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year: Brandon Davidson, Raymond James Dungay, Caitlin Bramston, Louisa Vanderpluym
- VET Teacher/Trainer of the Year: Harpreet Jaura, Vanessa Friedman, Imran Khan
- ACT Trainee of the Year: Jennifer McInerney
- ACT Australian School-based Apprentice of the Year: Louise Simpson, Kai Buchanan, Tali Adams
- ACT Apprentice of the Year: James McIntyre, Hikmat Ismail Berjaoui
The awards celebrate outstanding contributions in teaching, student achievement, and industry engagement across the territory’s vocational education sector.
