In Nepal ; Political Parties to Submit Proportional Representation Closed Lists Today & Tomorrow

The Election Commission of Nepal has announced that all preparations have been completed for political parties to submit their closed lists under the proportional representation system for the House of Representatives Election 2082.
According to the election schedule published by the Commission, political parties must submit their proportional representation closed lists today and tomorrow. Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that the closed lists submitted by parties will be reviewed from Poush 15 to 20.
After completing the review process by Poush 20, the Commission will allow political parties to make necessary corrections to their lists from Poush 21 to 27. The corrected lists will then be re-examined from Poush 28 to Magh 3 to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
The Commission will publish the closed lists on Magh 4, while the final list will be published on Magh 20, Bhattarai added.
A total of 100 political parties, using 93 election symbols, have been registered to contest the proportional representation election. Only political parties registered to participate in the PR system are eligible to submit candidate lists during the scheduled period.
