The Nepalese Association of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment in Australia (NEPAFE) will host a special community program in Canberra to mark Australia Day 2026, bringing people together under the national theme “Reflect. Respect. Celebrate.”

The event will take place on Sunday, 25 January 2026, starting from 11:00 am at The Hungry Buddha Restaurant Hall in Belconnen. It aims to strengthen community connections through cultural exchange, learning, and shared reflection on Australia’s history.

A key highlight of the program is an Indigenous and Nepalese Cultural Exchange Workshop, facilitated by respected Indigenous Elder Bradley Bell. Participants will also take part in a field visit to Lanyon Homestead, an important historical site in Canberra, followed by a reflection session and informal discussions.

Lunch and networking opportunities will be provided, giving attendees a chance to connect and share experiences in a welcoming environment.

NEPAFE encourages community members, families, and friends to participate in this meaningful celebration that promotes mutual respect, understanding, and unity.

Registration is essential, and places for organised transport are limited.
