ACT Policing Safely Manages Israel President’s Visit to Canberra

ACT Policing, in coordination with ACT Government agencies and the Australian Federal Police (AFP), safely managed the visit of the President of Israel to Canberra today. Approximately 450 protesters gathered outside Australian Parliament House during the visit. The demonstration concluded peacefully, with no arrests reported. The group dispersed at around 4:20pm.
Authorities thanked Canberra motorists and members of the public for their patience and cooperation as the official motorcade travelled through the city.
ACT Policing confirmed that the visit was managed without major incident.
