Nominations Open for 2026 ACT Environment Awards

Nominations are now officially open for the 2026 ACT Environment Awards, celebrating individuals and groups who have made outstanding contributions to environmental protection and climate action across the Australian Capital Territory.

The awards recognise inspiring efforts to protect the environment, promote sustainability, and strengthen community collaboration. Community members are encouraged to nominate those making a meaningful impact — including self-nominations.

🏆 Award Categories

This year, four prestigious awards will be presented:

  • Environmental Protection Award
  • Moira and John Rowland Award for Young Environmental Achievement
  • Working Together Award
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

 Application Process

Nominations must be submitted via the official form:

Applicants will be required to provide:

  • Contact details
  • Short written responses (200 words or less each) addressing:
    • About the nominee(s)
    • The body of work

Judges will base their decisions on the information provided, so applicants are encouraged to clearly highlight achievements and outcomes.

Multiple nominations are welcome, and individuals can nominate themselves or others.
