Australia and Japan Strengthen Energy and Strategic Ties
Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong has reaffirmed closer cooperation with Japan following high-level talks in Tokyo.
Wong said Australia and Japan are working together to strengthen shared energy security and promote a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region. She thanked Toshimitsu Motegi for the warm welcome during the visit.
As “Special Strategic Partners,” both countries remain committed to being reliable trading partners, particularly in energy and resources—areas seen as vital for regional stability and economic growth.
The meeting highlights ongoing efforts by Australia and Japan to deepen diplomatic and economic ties amid evolving global security and energy challenges.
