PM Albanese Congratulates Ben Carroll on Becoming Victoria’s Premier
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has congratulated Ben Carroll on becoming the new Premier of Victoria, pledging to continue working closely with the Victorian Government to deliver key priorities for residents.
In a statement following Carroll’s appointment, the Prime Minister highlighted their previous collaboration on education funding and expressed confidence in continuing a strong partnership.
“Congratulations Ben Carroll on becoming Premier of Victoria.
Working with Ben as Education Minister, we locked in full funding for every Victorian school.
Premier, I’m looking forward to working together to deliver better schools, healthcare and more homes for Victorians.”
Albanese’s message comes after Jacinta Allan announced her resignation as Premier and Leader of the Victorian Labor Party. Carroll was subsequently elected by the Victorian Labor caucus, becoming the state’s new Premier.
The Federal Government and the Victorian Government are expected to continue working together on major priorities, including education funding, housing supply, healthcare services, and infrastructure projects aimed at supporting Victoria’s growing population.
