Government funds $15 million Gold Coast sports facility for Titans and community
The Australian Government announced a $15 million investment in a new sports facility on the Gold Coast. The facility will bring the Titans’ professional rugby league and netball teams together with community sports and para-athlete facilities.
The Gold Coast Titans Community Hub and High Performance Centre in Carrara will include high-performance facilities for the National Rugby League (NRL) and NRL Women’s (NRLW) teams and state netball competitions, shared community playing fields, and inclusive facilities for para-athletes. A First Nations cultural education centre will also be integrated into the site.
The facility is intended to support athlete development ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and strengthen pathways from community participation to elite competition.
The construction phase is expected to create more than 100 jobs, with the facility supporting more than 145 ongoing positions once operational.
The Australian Government provided $513 million in record funding for high-performance sport in the 2026-27 Federal Budget, including a doubling of funding for para-athletes.
