Kathmandu, October 8: The Election Commission of Nepal has invited political parties to discussions ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari said the meetings are scheduled for October 30 to discuss the elections set for Falgun 21, 2082 B.S. Representatives from parties that previously won positions, including at the ward level, have been called to participate.
The Commission had already announced the election schedule, a move that has drawn criticism from major parties. Party leaders have expressed concerns that the schedule was released without prior consultation, highlighting the importance of collaborative dialogue in electoral planning.
