Pokhara Nepal ,15 September – The District Land Revenue Office in Kaski has suspended all services until further notice after its building was gutted by fire during a recent Gen-Z demonstration.
Officials confirmed that the blaze destroyed key sections of the office, including property records, registration files, and legal documents. Acting Chief Land Revenue Officer said the extent of the damage makes it impossible to resume normal operations without full reconstruction.
A public notice issued by the office stated that no land-related services—such as ownership transfers, registration approvals, inheritance settlements, or mortgage-related processes—can be provided until physical and technical facilities are restored.
The incident has brought all land transactions in the district to a standstill, and authorities have yet to confirm when reconstruction and record management will be completed.
