ACT Chief Minister attends opening of new Lager House in Canberra
New venue highlights Capital Brewing Co.’s growth and innovation in the local craft beer industry
Andrew Barr was reported to have attended the official opening of the new Lager House at The Eastbourne, where he acknowledged the achievements of Laurence, Tom, and the team behind Capital Brewing Co..
The brewery has been described as a notable Canberra success story since its establishment in 2016, with its Fyshwick site widely regarded as a popular destination for locals. It was further noted that the company has expanded its footprint through a taproom at Canberra Airport and by becoming Australia’s first carbon-neutral brewery.
Comments attributed to the Chief Minister suggested the newly opened Lager House would showcase a wide variety of lager styles from around the world. The venue is also expected to serve Capital Brewing’s existing range directly from three 1,500-litre tanks, offering a distinctive experience for visitors.
The Lager House is located at 62 Constitution Avenue in Parkes, within the National Triangle precinct.
