Australia Sends Humanitarian Supplies to Nepal as Search Continues for Missing Peoples
CANBERRA — Australia has dispatched a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircraft carrying vital humanitarian supplies to Nepal as the country responds to the ongoing disaster.
The aircraft is transporting essential hygiene, shelter and solar kits, following a request from the Nepali Government for emergency assistance.
Australia has also raised concerns over Australians who remain unaccounted for in the disaster, saying its concern for their safety is growing as efforts to locate them continue.
Australian Government officials are working around the clock with authorities to locate and support Australians affected by the disaster and assist their families.
The Australian Government said it would continue to provide assistance to Australians affected by the crisis while supporting Nepal’s humanitarian response.
