Nepali-origin author Krishna Kandel, who has previously written several school-level textbooks in Nepal and earned a Master of Science from Bellevue University, USA, has released his new book name “Diversity and Immigrants” Dream In America focusing on the challenges, opportunities, and experiences of immigrants and international students in the United States. Having already established himself in Nepal’s education sector, Kandel has used his American academic and social exposure to present a reflective and insightful account through this new publication.

Bringing together literature, lived experience, and social responsibility, Kandel’s latest book centres on the struggles and opportunities encountered by immigrants and international students in the U.S.
Kandel currently serves as an Operations Manager at Fiserv, Inc. He has also contributed significantly to community service, having served as the President of the Nepalese Society of Nebraska (2020–2022) and currently as the President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Nebraska Chapter.
The book’s co-author, Ashwin Dhakal, is a Graduate Research Assistant in Artificial Intelligence and Bioinformatics at the University of Missouri. A former president of the university’s Nepalese Student Association, Dhakal has been actively involved in supporting and empowering both students and the broader immigrant community. Through this book, he sheds light on his ongoing efforts toward community welfare and representation.

The authors explain that the book highlights major themes such as the immigrant journey, hardships, dreams, cultural adaptation, the influence of education, the importance of communication, and opportunities within the U.S. immigration system.
Offering a deep analysis of the immigrant experience, the book brings forward key aspects including cultural integration, the struggles behind pursuing foreign dreams, opportunities offered by the U.S. immigration structure, and the transformative power of education and communication. It presents eye-opening stories and practical messages, aiming to resonate widely with readers.
Demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility toward his homeland, Kandel has pledged to allocate 25% of the book’s sales toward establishing a scholarship fund in Nepal and providing educational materials to students of a public school.
“My goal is not just to tell stories but to help create real change in people’s lives,” Kandel shared.
The physical copy of the book, priced at USD 49.99, is now available for direct order. Interested readers can contact 402–871–3524 for more information or to place an order.
According to Kandel, the book is designed for readers of all ages, offering insights into immigrant experiences, diversity, and the valuable contributions immigrants make to American society.
“This book is an important resource for anyone seeking to understand the essence of diversity and community unity,” he added.
Combining personal narratives, research-based perspectives, and educational analysis, the book aims to foster mutual understanding and unity among American communities.
