Canberra Set to Shine as NightFest 2026 Returns with Music, Lights and Spring Magic

Canberra’s iconic spring festival is preparing to light up the capital once again, with NightFest 2026 promising four unforgettable evenings of live music, dazzling light displays and vibrant entertainment.

Running from Thursday, 1 October to Sunday, 4 October at Commonwealth Park, NightFest transforms the beautiful Floriade gardens into a spectacular nighttime experience. Visitors can stroll through illuminated floral displays, enjoy a diverse range of food and drinks, and experience live performances under the stars.

This year’s headline lineup features acclaimed Australian artists The Temper Trap, Tim Finn, Pacific Avenue, Busby Marou, and Christine Anu, offering something for music lovers of all ages.

NightFest is one of the highlights of Floriade 2026, Australia’s biggest celebration of spring, which runs from 12 September to 11 October. With this year’s theme, “Feast of Flowers,” the festival combines breathtaking floral displays, delicious food experiences, cultural activities and community celebrations.
