As the summer holidays begin and many locals prepare for drives to the coast, motorists are being encouraged to make use of Fuel Check to keep on top of fuel prices and cut travel costs.

Fuel Check is a digital tool that shows up-to-the-minute fuel prices for service stations throughout the ACT and NSW. By using the app or website, drivers can compare prices, search for specific fuel types or brands, and quickly spot the best deals before heading out on the road.

Access Canberra oversees complaints when a service station displays a different price from what appears in Fuel Check, helping maintain accuracy and transparency for consumers. Service stations can also register with the platform to display their prices and locations, improving visibility for customers.

The app offers several useful features, including tips on the most cost-effective day to refuel and notifications when fuel prices drop at your chosen stations—ideal for anyone planning long road trips this summer.

Alongside this, the ACCC continues to monitor fuel market behaviour to prevent unfair practices such as price fixing, ensuring competition remains fair and consumers benefit.
