US, China Agree Iran Must Not Acquire Nuclear Weapons

The United States and China have reportedly reached a significant agreement aimed at preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons during high-level talks in Beijing between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

According to Reuters, citing an unnamed official, both global powers agreed that Iran should not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons under any circumstances. The issue was discussed as part of broader negotiations covering regional security and international stability.

Meanwhile, observers noted that the Taiwan issue was absent from the official summary released by the White House following the summit talks. The omission has drawn attention in diplomatic circles, particularly as Chinese state media continue to portray Taiwan as a major source of tension in US-China relations.

The development comes amid growing international concern over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and rising geopolitical competition between Washington and Beijing.
