– The Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Nepal on Friday formally inducted 2,499 central committee members in a ceremony at its Parisdanda headquarters. Party coordinator Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, ‘Prachanda,’ administered the oath.
The event was attended by top party leaders, standing committee members, and representatives from provincial and organizational wings. In his address, Dahal stressed the need to strengthen party unity, discipline, and people-focused politics. He urged members to carry out their duties in line with party policies and decisions.
Dahal also highlighted the party’s responsibility amid Nepal’s current political landscape, calling on leaders and workers to act cohesively and address internal differences through democratic debate.
After the oath, members pledged to implement party policies at the grassroots level, expand organizational reach, and maintain coordination between the party and government. The NCP said it would hold a central committee meeting soon to discuss organizational structure, responsibilities, and future work plans.
The induction marks a formal step in the NCP’s organizational process and signals an expected increase in political activity and public engagement. Analysts suggest the move aims to strengthen internal cohesion ahead of upcoming political challenges.
