Ashok Basnet, a long-standing and respected leader within the Nepali community in Canberra, has been appointed as the Spokesperson of NRNA Australia. Known for his strong and effective voice, Basnet has consistently represented community issues with clarity, integrity, and impact, earning deep trust from Nepali communities across Canberra and Australia.

Basnet has previously held several key leadership roles within NRNA, contributing significantly to the organization’s growth and effectiveness:

  • NRNA Deputy Co-ordinator (ACT) (2019–2021)

  • NRNA Co-ordinator (ACT) (2021–2023)

  • NCC Advisor (2023–2025)

Through these roles, Basnet demonstrated exceptional competence, dedication to the community, and practical leadership that brought renewed energy and direction to the organization. His appointment as Spokesperson reflects NRNA Australia’s confidence in his ability to represent the community effectively.
