Flight Drone Sky Show & Night Markets Set to Light Up Canberra in 2026
KNA , Canberra
Canberra is gearing up for a spectacular Australia Day weekend in 2026 as the National Capital Authority confirms the much-anticipated return of FLIGHT: Drone SkyShow + Night Markets. The popular summer attraction is back — bigger, brighter, and bolder than before.
This year’s edition will feature two unique 15-minute drone shows each night, scheduled for 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm, delivering double the experience for locals and visitors. Crowds will be treated to dazzling formations in the night sky, advanced illumination effects, and finely synchronised drone choreography accompanied by immersive music. The shows will highlight stories that honour and celebrate Australia’s evolving national identity.
The production is once again led by AGB Creative, an internationally recognised team known for innovative large-scale visual events. Their return ensures another year of high-impact storytelling through cutting-edge drone technology. The initiative is supported by the National Australia Day Council, enabling FLIGHT to continue pushing creative boundaries in night time entertainment.
More than just a visual spectacle, FLIGHT has become a festive gathering that brings people together. With vibrant night markets lining the lakeside precinct, the event blends community, culture, and celebration into an unforgettable summer experience.
Organisers are inviting Canberrans and visitors alike to Lake Burley Griffin in January 2026 for a night of music, light, and magic beneath the stars.
The event is made possible through the support of the National Capital Authority and the National Australia Day Council.
