Brighten Law Firm Opens in Sydney — Established by a Nepalese Community Lawyer
October 2025 – Sydney.
With the growing Nepalese community in Australia, many Nepalese professionals have been achieving success across various fields from social and business leadership to law and public service. Continuing this inspiring trend, Ms. Shrishti Shah, a young lawyer from the Nepalese community, has officially launched her own law firm Brighten Law in Sydney, with the mission to make legal services clear, accessible, and personal for everyone.
A graduate of Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Ms. Shah has over four years of professional legal experience. During her studies, she was actively involved in Women Entering Business and the Macquarie University Sustainability Society, where she demonstrated strong leadership and community engagement.
She gained valuable professional experience working with leading Australian law firms such as McCabes Lawyers and Barry Nilsson Lawyers, and also completed internships with Lawpath and St. Francis Social Services, strengthening her expertise in both commercial and community law.
Launched under the motto “We Brighten the Law for You,” Brighten Law is founded on the principles of transparency, fairness, and compassion. According to Ms. Shah, the firm’s goal is “to make the law a tool for empowerment, not intimidation.”
Brighten Law provides services in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Contract Law, Medical Negligence, Migration, and Conveyancing, aiming to simplify legal processes and deliver professional support with a human touch.
The firm has also introduced a digital business card system that reflects its commitment to modern accessibility and transparency. With innovative branding, a clear layout, and integrated QR codes, clients can connect with Brighten Law quickly and easily.
Led by a capable Nepalese-Australian woman lawyer, Brighten Law has become a source of pride for the Nepalese community in Australia. To mark its launch, the firm is offering Free Phone Consultations during its first month of operation.
