QPR Suicide Prevention Training Successfully Conducted in Shippensburg, USA

The QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention training held in Shippensburg has been successfully completed, strengthening mental health awareness and crisis-response capacity within the community. The primary aim of the program was to equip participants with the skills to recognize warning signs of suicide, engage in sensitive and supportive conversations, and guide individuals toward appropriate professional help.
The training venue was generously provided by Mr. Om Bista, instructor and owner of Himalayan Taekwondo Shippensburg. His support played a vital role in creating a comfortable and accessible learning environment for community members.
Special appreciation goes to QPR trainers Mr. Bhim and Mr. Narad Adhikari for their dedication, leadership, and expertise in conducting the session. Their effective facilitation helped participants gain a deeper understanding of suicide-prevention strategies and the importance of timely intervention.
The program coordinator expressed gratitude for the opportunity to host such an important community initiative in Shippensburg. Positive feedback from attendees reaffirmed the need for programs like this to promote mental health awareness and preparedness.
