4. Nepal Arts and Culture Canberra
Nepal Arts and Culture Canberra has been formally organising programs to preserve and promote Nepali art, culture, and literature among the Nepali community living in Australia. With a clear long-term vision, the organisation believes that:
“Preserving Nepali art and culture abroad is not merely about organising events—it is a long-term responsibility of connecting the younger generation to their roots and cultural identity.”
The organisation regularly hosts popular cultural programs such as Teej celebrations, Tihar Deusi-Bhailo programs, and other traditional events to keep Nepali festivals and customs alive abroad. These events bring Nepalis together, fostering community unity and a vibrant cultural environment in Australia.
In addition, the organisation aims to showcase Nepali art, literature, and creativity on a global platform by organising art exhibitions, poetry recitals, theatre performances, and cultural workshops. It has also invited renowned artists and cultural figures from Nepal to present special musical and cultural programs in Australia.
Beyond cultural activities, the organisation has also provided support, guidance, and assistance to community members during times of need.
